By Jed Kaiser
Dear Interact Members,
It has been an honor serving as your President for the last two years. Together, our efforts have made a long-lasting impact on our community of Oyster Bay, as well as countless others, and I truly could not have done it without you. Now it is time for all of you to choose the Interact officers for the 2017-2018 school year. Each candidate would do an incredible job, and I cannot wait to see what they accomplish next year.
Choose wisely,
Jed Kaiser
President

Patrick Wygand-I, Patrick Wygand, am running for President of the Interact Club. As a Senior, I believe that I can lead with great responsibility. I am certain that I can represent the members and do what is best for them. I possess a clear vision to get things done in an effective order. I work well with my peers and can maintain a positive environment. If I were President, I would strive to help out our local community while at the same time making sure members enjoy what they’re doing. Together, we will ensure Interact Club will bring joy to those in need.

Kaitlin Pellechia-My name is Kaitlin Pellechia, and I am in 10th grade. I am running for President of the Interact Club. I would be a fantastic candidate for this position because I am very well organized, responsible, and a strong leader. The reason I am running for this position is because I feel that I can help with finding new charities to make donations to. I would also like to try to discover different local organizations that we can help and work with first hand. I hope to be President of Interact in the upcoming school year because I believe in the purpose of this club and would love to be more than just a member.

Isabella Skvarla-My name is Isabella Skvarla. I am a sophomore and am running for Interact Club President. I feel that I would be a good president because I am very hardworking and responsible. I am very dedicated to the activities I take on and always take them seriously. I hope that you will consider voting for me for Interact Club President. Thank you.

Vice President

Sophie Kaiser-I am Sophie Kaiser, and I am running for Vice President of the Interact Club for the 2017-2018 school year. I have been involved in Interact since my freshman year, and so far have participated in many of its activities and events. I have logged numerous hours working the Interact booth at Oyster Fest, ringing bells at Stop and Shop in support of the Salvation Army, and shopping with underprivileged children at Target as part of the Glen Cove Outreach Program. I have leadership experience that will help me be a good Vice President of Interact, serving as captains of both the JV field hockey and basketball teams, Publicity officer of the National Junior Honor Society and Treasurer of the sophomore student council. The goal of Interact is to grow community service in our high school while doing good deeds locally and beyond, and I’m committed to help our club achieve this.

Stephanie Vojvodich-I am submitting my candidacy for the position of Vice President of the Interact Club because I have many positive qualities that would make me a strong candidate to hold the office of Vice-President. My intelligence, reliability and leadership skills will help the Interact Club prosper and become more prominent in our school by creating even more opportunities for service to our community.  The Interact Club is a fantastic way for children to become active participants serving in our community and across Long Island. For that reason, I would like more people to join and recognize that their contribution can make a difference. If I am elected Vice President, I will support the leadership of our President and work to ensure that we strive for the same goals. My dependability will support our service projects. My commitment to act in service of our community will be prevalent. When I become Vice President I will make sure everyone in the Oyster Bay community knows of the devotion of the Interact Club to our district.

Treasurer

Ian Guarini-Hi everyone. My name is Ian Guarini and I'm a junior and I would like to run for Treasurer of Interact Club. I would like to run because I like being a leader and helping people. I am currently in Interact Club, and I like volunteering and helping out in the community. Being Treasurer would let me help plan and organize community service events to help the community as well as the people in it. Vote for me!

Secretary

Kathryn Moore-I believe I would make a noteworthy candidate for the position of Secretary. I am a freshman and a hardworking student who wants to give back to our community. In the recent past, I have participated in several of the interact club activities. I have attended a majority of the 2017 meetings and will continue to actively participate in this club. I hope that you would consider me for this position. Thank you.

Maggie Frankel-I am currently a junior at Oyster Bay High School, and I would like to run for Secretary for Interact Club next year because I am very involved in both our school and our community. I am the Secretary of Student Council and am involved in many other clubs, so I have much experience with the position. I feel that I can help get more students involved in service both in and out of our community in the years to come! Thank you.

Jessica Layne-Hello, I am Jessica Layne. I am in tenth grade and would like to run for Secretary of Interact. I feel I am very good at carrying out tasks effectively and efficiently. I am diligent, organized, and a neat writer. I am very good at working together with my classmates and in group settings. When taking on this position, I will continue to help others, work efficiently, and take on any responsibilities to make our club operate as a whole.

Publicity

Emily Sarli-My name is Emily Sarli, I'm currently in 10th grade, and I am running for the position of Publicity Officer for Interact during the 2017-18 year.  I believe that I would be a good Publicity Officer because I am very organized, creative, and decisive. I was a student council representative in 9th grade, and since we only had a President and Vice President, I stepped up to do much of the Publicity work. I made posters to hang around the school and let others know about the upcoming events that we were holding. I also helped to design t-shirts to wear to these events.  Due to this experience and the skills that I have acquired, I believe that I would make a great Publicity Officer for Interact in the upcoming year.
