This year, the Fine and Performing Arts Department announced You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown as the new musical for the high school. Now that the play is over, the set has been taken down, and the actors have been given a well-deserved pat on the back, the stage crew has packed everything up until next year’s production.

The cast of this year’s production included Sarah Conway as Charlie Brown, Julia Tauter as Lucy van Pelt, Anabella Ballone as Snoopy, Kayla McKenna as Sally Brown, Ava Aschettino as Woodstock, Kyra Tischler as Violet Gray, Kayleigh Crawford as Marcie Carlin, Ally Martorella as Freida Rich, Bella Rosenthal as Peppermint Patty, Kayla Cronin as Sophie, Katherine Ruiz as Peggy Jean, Miriam Coor as Molly Volley, Destini Gaeckler as Loretta, Claudia Paolucci as Lila, Muskan Kumar as Eudora, and Arianna Wulffen as The Little Red Head Girl. The cast of the play was predominantly female with one male, Chris McKenna, cast in the role of Linus van Pelt.
Sarah Conway, who starred in this year’s musical, revealed, “I had a wonderful experience with this year’s cast. Even though there were not as many of us as last year, I feel as though we had just as great of a show. The cast and the crew also bonded tremendously during the production.”
Whilst the cast was busy practicing their parts and lines, the high school’s Stage Crew was hard at work preparing for the show. Ms. Maria Randazzo worked diligently with members in order to ensure that the show went on as smoothly as possible. The road to the play has not always been smooth, as the last week of preparation before the show is often a time of stress. However, the hard work of every member, including Stage Manager Danielle DiMeo and Assistant Stage Managers Neal Mehta and Rebecca Keller, paid off as they all contributed to an outstanding performance.
It wasn’t just the kids who were the stars of the show; the adults had a huge impact on how well the show was executed too. Mr. Tom Gould, who assisted me with the soundboard, did an excellent job ensuring the show’s sounds were well received. Mr. Sisia headed an amazing pit band that sounded out of this world, and Mr. Jack Saleeby worked on the play’s choreography. Ms. Finnerty impressively balanced out the myriad of tasks she had and managed to fit in assisting the actors with vocals. Mr. Rufa supervised the show and ensured all finances were kept in check. Last but not least, Mr. Prep directed stellar performances in a show that deserves accolades.
Congratulations to all involved in the production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown!
